Roses are Red, Velvets are Blue?

Cacti and Velvet. What more could a girl want? These very things make me soooo happy right now, so I thought I would combine the two to show you the velvet pieces in Kat’s Kloset. Yes, I just did that, wrote about myself in the third person and spelled closet with a K.. not deleting it either. Enjoy! xx

VELVET DREAMS |
FIRST. Yes, first and definitely my favorite dress in my closet right now is this dreamer velvet wrap dress. I saw it on my Instagram feed. Died, came back to life and purchased this beauty. I am absolutely obsessed with it. I was looking for a dress for my cousin’s November wedding in Florida, which is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. So when I saw this dress, I immediately purchased it online at Revolve and prayed that it would fit! I’m in love with everything from the dusty blue color, which I think can be pulled off in all seasons, to the comfort of the dress. I like to eat, a lot. So if I can eat a lot…. and the dress still looks good on afterward then its a winner in my book.

 

PINK SKIES |
There’s that cactus I was telling you about. If I could have one of these in my yard one day, I know I would leave this Earth happy.

Pink.. it feels weird even typing this color as I’m not a huge fan of it. But, when I saw this cutesy velvet dress I couldn’t resist. The details of the small knot in the front to the buttons down the dress are lovely. This dress and all my following outfits are all from Sophie & Trey.

 

GREASE VIBES |
Everyone needs a black velvet crop top, right?  This top with a knot at the bottom hem and lace skirt are still available online! x

 

VINTAGE ROSE |
This super soft velvet dress has a V-shaped neckline an open back with thin straps that give a nice length flexibility!

 

 

GOT THE BLUES |
This long-sleeve navy velvet dress cinches at the waist with a sleek tie closure which I prefer for a better fit. A sneak peek of my New Yeas Eve dress…shhh.

 

COZY CHRISTMAS |
Tell me this velvet sweater doesn’t look so snuggly. I really like the scalloped detail near the bottom of it. I’ve worn this incredibly soft sweater so many times this season. . So if you’ve seen me around town then you’ve most likely seen me wearing this. Another pink piece, who am I?

 

I paired my outfit with these velvet navy Steve Madden sandals-Because FL- and we pair sandals with sweaters in the winter here. Found these at Marshalls for $12 so I was stoked.
