I’ve visited Arizona before but this was my first time really getting to explore. Here are a few spots I think you should check out if you plan on visiting too!

Desert Botanical Garden

After settling in to our hotel, Danielle and I headed to our first destination. Desert Botanical Garden. Wow. Literally my dream come true. There were massive cacti’s at every turn. I was in HEAVEN.

General admission tickets are $24.95 for adults and $12.95 for youth. For me it was 100% worth it. I could sit and stare at plants all day. If you’re as obsessed with plants as me, just plan on going early in the day, because that Arizona heat does not play. Bring a water bottle too!

From our hotel to the Grand Canyon, it was a four hour drive. For Floridians like myself, there is nothing like driving through the mountains. Breathing in the fresh air while listening to some good tunes, with these views is pure gold.

Dani always finds the best covers songs. This one was called Without Me by Wind Walkers.

Grand Canyon

We decided to hike the South Rim at Grand Canyon National Park.

What I brought for hiking:
Backpack, water bottle, snacks (trail mix, granola bars), portable charger, sunblock, jacket and my camera. Less is more so that your backpack isn’t too heavy. I also wish I had hiking shoes, so I’m definitely going to look into getting some for the next time I go!

We took a lunch break in between hikes and got food from a taco truck parked near the entrance! It was good and not too long of a wait 🙂

Let’s talk about how perfect the weather was in early April. I didn’t realize it would be a bit chilly, so I am glad I brought my jacket along the hike.

One of my favorite parts of the hike was seeing the mules come up the mountain. I was slightly freaking out that they were going to trip and fall…. but all was well! No fallen mules this time around the rim. 🙂

The view was obviously breathtaking but pictures will never do justice. So go visit and take me back when you do!! 🙂

We totally got In N Out on our drive back to the hotel that night. Well deserved after a long day of hiking.

The following day, we made our way to the Devils Bridge trail in Sedona. This was the moment I realized that I may in fact be a tad bit scared of heights… just a tad.

It took us about 4 miles round trip to walk from the road. If you have an off road vehicle with decent ground clearance, then you can drive onto the trail and park at the trailhead, which reduces the hike to 2 miles.

I couldn’t resist getting a shot of this pup posing so perfectly. 🙂

The Chai Spot

Dani and I really wanted to check out Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. So after hiking , we changed in the car real quick and stopped by. While there, we encountered The Chai Spot.

True Food Kitchen

For dinner that night, we went to True Food Kitchen, recommended by the locals. I got the Teriyaki Quinoa bowl. Sooo good!

The Canal Club

The Canal Club quickly became my favorite brunch spot in Arizona. If I could move in here, I absolutely would. Everything from the interior decor to the food was spectacular.

That wraps up some of my suggestions if you plan on visiting Arizona! Let me know if you have any questions, also can I come with you!??
